USO Freedom Lounge
New Volunteer Orientation Schedule
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the new USO "Freedom Lounge" at the Northwest Florida Regional Airport. Our grand opening was June 29, 2010 with 250-350 people in attendance.
Attending a Volunteer Orientation is the first step you need to take to become a USO volunteer. It gives you a general overview of what programs and services we offer, what is expected as a volunteer, duties etc. It is an opportunity to decide if being a USO volunteer is something that you really want to do. The Orientations are on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10am at the USO Freedom Lounge and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Please note: there will be no orientations in August 2010.
If you are still interested in volunteering after the orientation, you will be given the application paperwork to complete and schedule an interview with myself, or Diane Freeman, my center manager.
Once through that hurdle you will need to attend one of our Initial Training sessions. For more information contact Diane Freeman, Airport Center Manager, 850.609.4738 or dlfreeman@uso.org.
Parking will be validated by the airport.
