Dear Prospective USO Volunteers:
Greetings from the USO of Illinois and thank you for your interest in supporting the troops! This section of our website is designed to provide you with specific information regarding volunteers opportunities and needs within the USO of Illinois.
The USO of Illinois operates four USO Centers in the Chicagoland area. Volunteers are needed to serve on shifts to keep the centers open for business. Typical duties include greeting, checking ID's for access, serving food or assisting guests in logging on to a computer. The hours of operation for each USO of Illinois Center are listed below along with the contact person and specific volunteer needs to fill shifts or help with our duties. |

USO O'Hare: Linda Mann lmannuso@ameritech.net, 773-686-7396 Sunday-Saturday: Open 24 hours, 7 days a week
Volunteer needs:
1. Volunteers needed to serve on shifts from 3pm - 7:30pm and 7:30pm to midnight, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
2. Volunteers needed to serve on overnight shifts from 11:00pm to 7:00am.

USO Navy Pier:
312-923-7070 Monday-Tuesday: 10am-5pm, Wednesday- Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday & Saturday 10am-10pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.
Volunteer needs: Volunteers are needed to fill the following shifts.
Saturday's: 12:00 - 5:00 and Sunday's: 12:00 - 3:00
Mondays 10am-8pm
Tuesdays 10am-8pm
Wednesday 10am-8pm
Thursday 1pm-8pm
Friday 5pm-8pm

Volunteer needs: Volunteers are needed to serve on all shifts. Shifts are typically set up per the following schedule:
Weekdays: 3-6pm; 6-9pm Weekends/Holidays: 9:30am-2pm; 2-5pm; 5-9pm

Free Recreation Center at USO Great Lakes Navy Base (pool, music room, art room, children’s room, reading rooms, computer access). Family Nights and Holiday programs. No Dough dinner (free meal and program) the night before payday at USO Great Lakes Drop in Centers at O’Hare Airport, Midway Airport and Navy Pier offer a place to relax, have a free snack and refreshment, watch a movie or surf the Internet on DSL.
