About Us - What we do
USO Indiana is the only all-volunteer USO in existence.
The USO Indiana Vision is to provide the best possible service available to the uniformed service men and women within the state of Indiana.
In addition to our volunteers, we rely on donations and contributions by individuals, businesses, and community organizations.
There are currently two Service Centers which are committed to providing a home-away-from-home environment:
The Indianapolis Airport Center is open from 7 AM to 11 PM, 365 days a year, providing services to over 15,000 visitors in 2008.
The Camp Atterbury Community Center opened in September, 2007. This center is open until 10 PM every day and provided services to over 40,000 visitors in 2008.
Both Centers provide refreshments, entertainment and recreation, travel support, general information, internet access, moral support, and a place to rest for soldiers and their families.
In addition to the Service Centers, volunteers participate in special events to honor our soldiers, increase public awareness, and raise donations in order to provide the services described above.
