USO Rhein-Neckar Region has offices located in Heidelberg and Mannheim. The USO Mobile Canteen is available for unit organization days, sports events and ceremonies. USO personnel stand ready to provide refreshments at PDPs. Holiday treat bags are distributed free of charge when available from promoters or artists. Giveaways are conducted via AFN radio broadcasts. The main office in Mannheim has a large facility available for offical events. Orientations are offered originating in Mannheim to various cities via public transportation to introduce newcomers to life in Germany. Troops and their commanders are invited to play in the annual USO Labor Day Golf Tournament. Group rate/discount tickets are available in the summer to seven of the major amusement parks in Germany.
Visit any of our three offices for a complimentary cup of Maxwell House coffee. A wide variety of telecommunications options are available: telephones, fax, D-1 cell phone cards. The USO office in Mannheim has game rooms with a pool table, table tennis, darts and pinball/video games. Refreshement items include soda, water, iced tea, candy bars and chips. A variety of gift shop items are offered to include handmade crafts. Ticket sales include Die Adler home games, the Vampire Ball, the Halloween Festival at the Frankenstein Castle, medieval meals at Auerbach Castle and discounted amusement park tickets. One-day tours to destinations in Germany and express tours to locations such as Paris, London, Prague and Poland are available for both the novice and experienced traveler. Additionally, orientation tours of the surrounding area are offered several times during the month.
