RESERVATIONS/BOOKINGS. All tours must be booked by ID card holders, in person or by mail - no phone reservations. Full payment must be made at time of booking. When a class or tour is fully booked, the customer may put his/her name on a waiting list upon full payment. Being on the waiting list does not assure one a spot on the tour/event. Cash, personal checks, and travellers checks will be accepted. There is a $25.00 service charge on returned checks in addition to any bank charges.

PICKUP POINTS

MA - Mannheim, in front of USO office on Sullivan Barracks, Bldg.254

HD - Heidelberg, PHV Park and Ride (outside of the commissary gate)

Patrons are required to check in with the tour guide at the pickup point prior to entering bus/van for any USO tour.                                                                                          Patrons must designate P/U point at time of booking. USO transportation stops only at the pickup points requested for each tour. If USO transportation is late, travelers should remain at the pickup points for one hour past the scheduled pickup time, or be counted as a no-show if the transportation arrives within that hour.

REGULATIONS. Smoking is prohibited on bus/van tours. Alcohol consumption is also prohibited on van tours. Bus/van seating is on a first come, first served basis. Guide may adjust seating as required. Car seats are required for children on all bus/van tours. Individuals under the age of 18 are not allowed on tours without adult supervision. USO is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged articles; labor strikes, mechanical problems, or other circumstances associated with a vendor. Sorry, no pets.

HELPFUL HINTS. Some tours require walking and considerable time outdoors. Please wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the season. If you have any doubts about the amount of walking or time outdoors, please ask the information specialist at the time of booking. Tipping is at the discretion of the patron.

TICKETS. All ticket sales, including, but not limited to, train, raffle, concert, adventure park, etc., are final and nonrefundable.

CANCELLATION. USO reserves the right to cancel any tour by 1600 hrs, the last workday prior to the tour. If USO should cancel the tour/event, a complete refund will be issued by check (min. of 4 working days for processing). Customers will be contacted by telephone. Customers are requested to contact the USO the last workday prior to the event to verify any changes or cancellations. (DSN 385-3195 or Civ (0621) 730-3195).

REFUNDS. Patron requested refunds made at least four full working days in advance of event will receive a refund less a 10% handling/cancellation fee. Canceling less than four full working days prior to event results in a loss of the total event cost. In case of medical or duty related situations, a physician’s or commander’s written verification is required (verification procedures do not apply to overnight tours). No-shows are not entitled to a refund. Monday through Friday are considered workdays. Refunds must be picked up within four weeks of the scheduled tour. Refunds that are not picked up within those four weeks will be considered a donation to the Rhein-Neckar USO.

INTERNATIONAL BORDERS. Passengers are responsible for bringing a valid tourist passport or valid border crossing documents when a tour is crossing into another country. If a passenger does not have the proper border documentation, the individual may not be able to continue on the tour and must remain at the border. Passengers are also responsible for bringing an adequate supply of local currency.

DEUTSCHE BAHN. The USO acts only as a ticket selling agency. USO may or may not provide a tour escort. USO is not responsible for any mishaps that take place during the trip.

MISCELLANEOUS. Prices as well as the schedule are subject to change without prior notice. All return times are approximate.
