There are many programs and services that the USO Sasebo has to offer. Come by our centers at Fleet Landing and Nimitz Park to check out some of the following:
Nimitz Park Facilities:
Nimitz Park boasts over 1500 square feat of space for you to enjoy. Located in the center is a lounge for you to relax in in front of our big screen television. We also have free internet access with webcams and wifi for you to stay connected to your loved ones back home. Nimitz Park also has a snack bar where you can purchase food items, a gift shop to collect your favorite japanese style souvenirs, and GI Bill Pay for you to set up all of your financial needs.
Regular Nimitz Park Programs:
Washi Classes: Once a month we host Japanese Paper Washi classes. Our volunteers come to the center to demonstrate this japanese art form and teach you the methods so you can take home your very own authentic Japanese souvenir.
Fleet Landing Facilities:
The Fleet Landing USO center truly gives you a home away from home environment with our living room setting complete with big screen to to enjoy your favorite tv shows and movies. We also have a lending library, computers with free internet & webcams, wifi, and a gaming room filled with video games for you to enjoy. We are also proud to offer free DSN phone lines for you to call back to the states any time you wish. Please stop by to see all we have to offer.
Regular Fleet Landing Center Programs:
TGIF:Every non-pay day Friday, stop by the center for a free meal (often home-cooked), courtesy of the USO and AT&T.
United Through Reading:Stop by the center to have us record you reading a book to your child before you deploy. We will then deliver the book and recording to your child to keep you connected while you are away.
Tasty Treat Tuesdays:Every third Tuesday for the month, swing by the USO Fleet Landing for a tasty treat for you to enjoy.
