o Conversational German Classes Now Available. Various times and dates… See schedule below. 2 Term for 2010 begins 1 March 2010; Accepting registration 25 January!
Term 2 German Class Schedule
o The USO "Monthly Lunch" is back!! February 24 we will be serving a FREE lunch in the USO Kitchen. Come in and enjoy this hearty meal on the USO. Lunch is served from 1100-1300.
o “Walk with the USO”. Every Thursday, 1100-1200 starting at the USO. Join the USO on a walk. Walk will last approx. 30min followed with refreshments in the USO kitchen. Meet new people, get some exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.
o USO "Time for Tots". Every Tuesday, 1100-1200 in the USO longe. Hour includes book reading and craft project. Kid friendly snack and drink provided.
o USO hosted "United Through Reading". Since 1990, the United Through Reading Military Program has helped military families stay connected by recording deployed / overseas service members reading children’s books aloud. Once recorded, the DVD is sent to the children at home. To promote a full-circle of communication, the parent or caregiver is encouraged to photograph or video the child watching the DVD and following along with the book. The photo or video is then sent back to the service member, boosting their morale and enhancing the feeling of connectedness. Open to everyone in the community!! o USO Deployed Service Member Care Package Program. Do you know a Service Member that is deployed downrange? Would you like to send a care package to this deployed Service Member? Let the USO send one for you. Stop by or call for more details.
o Steppin’ Out ~ Single (and unaccompanied) Service Member Program… FREE TOUR! This program is designed to familiarize single (and unaccompanied) military personnel with events, locations and entertainment that our surrounding area has to offer. Get to know your host country while meeting other single service members in a fun and relaxing atmosphere! Transportation and entrance fees are provided to the participants courtesy of Stuttgart USO. To guarantee participation, a $ 10 sign up fee is required and will be refunded ONLY to those attending the tour. Please sign up early as reservations must be made in advance! Coming up…
